  • Allergen Free Deodorant?

    Looking for a recommendation on allergen free/gentle formulas for a deodorant. My boyfriend has a very limited ability to use deodorants. The men’s Old Spice gel caused chemical burns and he went without using deodorant for almost a year. He started using Dove spray deodorants and had no issues for a few months. Yesterday he came home with very red chapped armpits… does anyone have any recommendations?

    Not looking for actual formula, looking for something already on the marketplace/ things to avoid.

    Since we don’t know what causes the allergies it will be irresponsible to make suggestions. Best you can do is go to a doctor and run the proper tests.

    Essential oils are irritants. Lavender oil isn’t a great idea.

    @rkaufman6:

    Have him try Native Sensitive Skin Unscented Deodorant.  It’s formulated with Magnesium Hydroxide which is much gentler than baking soda.
