Ah, you’re looking for a salt-tolerant and acid-stable thickener… that’s not a vehicle base.Using the search function wouldn’t be the worst idea.
-
do you have any experience with Natrosol 250 or FlexiThix thickeners?
-
What about a modified cellulose? HEC is used for thickening HCL toilet bowl cleaner, I think it could work?

The 25% salt content is doable, that highly acidic pH not so much. Colloidal clays (laponite?) may be able to do the job, but experiment is needed. Should you find success please share with the group.

At a pH of 1, clay will release quite a bit of its cations (lithium, sodium, magnesium) and its thixotropic behaviour might no longer be there… you’d have to try and see.

do you know of any Laponite suppliers in the USA? Thank-you for your comments.

Perry thanks-as an aside, do you or anyone on this site have a USA supplier for
Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)
