Thank you! What about polyaminopropyl biguanide makes it more suitable for pools and less for cosmetics? Is there a safety issue or is it just more suited for the types of microbes that would be a problem for pools?

I empathize with you-I joined this forum to learn about alternatives to the commonly used preservatives that are more “natural” and I’ve been saddened to learn about all the problems they have. To give more color on Leucidal: https://www.lasticsbody.com/post/study-raises-questions-about-leucidal-safety It also has a reputation for failing challenge tests. It’s all very disheartening, and I’ll say that I’m starting to heavily favor the idea of products that contain only fats and don’t require preservatives, just antioxidants, OR complete DIY aqueous formulations that you can make and keep in the fridge for a week. Not very promising for marketability.
