    Hey thank you guys…

    I have always been perplexed by the way this term is being used. I have also noticed how consumers jump on the natural bandwagon without much contemplation or thought. I have more clarity now and hope to use the term more responsibly.
    Thank you guys as always!

    @Ozgirl,

    Thank you, sorry for being vague.
    I did figure it out in the end with a little help.

    Hi Belassi,

    You might in deed be “of those Aspies that has no emotional intelligence”
    Firstly, I have NOT claimed that the above formula is mine!, I have used this forum for a while now and have not had any problem and wouldn’t like to start that now.
    I am very aware of swiftcraftymonkey and I think she is doing a fantastic thing teaching those who want to know how to make their own products at home mainly because it is fun and interesting. I have in the past duplicated products with some changes at home for own personal use and I have had fun doing. I tried making the above product and was unsuccessful and the silly me thought I could ask this without being blasted misunderstood.
    I love the product and would love to know how I would do it at home, it is that simple! It is not mine and never claimed so.
    I suggest you ask for clarification and stop being an arrogant grumpy old man
    have a good day
  • Hey people!

    I posted this ages ago! Since then, I have found a company based in the UK, thanks to this forum!

    @Bri

    I completely agree! I make my own gentle shampoos but I like to try out different conditioners on the market as I got through more conditioners than shampoo! I also thought there was a trick I was missing but after personal experience, co washing is not for me.

    @Mark

    Is there research articles that you can refer me to regarding coconut oil and comedogenecity?

    @Mark, thanks.

    This makes sense! It is a hair styling product and NOT skin that’s using the coconut oil. What else work similarly for hair and at similar cost?

    @Mark

    I agree! Because it is a styling product.

    I suppose not many people have this reaction with coconut oil would you say? It would be on the minority side?

    @Bob, I know it’s ridiculous!

    @Mark, it is possible for the product to transfer the face especially when sleeping, on the pillow etc

    I have been looking at products that have coconut oil among its first 3 ingredients. I don’t think it’s the other ingredients but also not certain it’s the coconut oil that’s why I was wondering if anyone has experienced such feedback or come across this.

    I am referring to styling products that have a higher chance of transferring to the face. My research has found some people claim it is the coconut oil however, if is very hard to distinguish what’s causing the breakout when the formula includes several other ingredients.

    interesting views, unfortunately the trend had just gained momentum in the UK. I even noticed Aussie conditioner for “everyday” which is meant to compete for this market segment.

    @Bill, I agree!

    Consumers are easily manipulated, I was researching ethical marketing the other day and I came across a “vitamin water” company that claims it’s water is “gluten free” really?!

    Thanks for your replies. @Irina, I have all ingredients and I am looking for something to soothe scalp and condition the hair and I have never used clay based masks for hair so wanted to make one. Did you use this particular product?

    Most of these claims start off in America with a little bit of encouragement from some celebrities and not forgetting Dr. OZ! The tide of ignorance and miseducation then slowly blows across the Atlantic and spreads like wildfire! Now suddenly, Coconut water and blueberries are a MUST!

    Hi everyone!

    I love experimenting with making products at home and so far, I have been successful however I stumbled across a product that uses ingredients that I have not used before and I am slightly confused how to go about it! here is the ingredient list.

     Water (Aqua) , Irish Moss Powder (Chondrus crispus) , Fullers Earth , Cetearyl Alcohol , Fragrance , Irish Moss Decoction (Chondrus Crispus) , Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera) , Cold Pressed Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) , Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis) , Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita) , Rosemary Absolute , Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria Chamomilla) , Soya Lecithin , Glycerine , Yeast , Red Henna (Lawsonia inermis) , Lanolin , Cetrimonium Bromide , Propylene Glycol , Glycerl Stearate & Peg - 100 Stearate , *Eugenol , *Limonene , *Linalool

     This is a scalp and hair treatment and the consistency is smooth. See link below to see consistency.

    Can’t wait to hear from you guys!

    Thanks @ Miliachemist

    I have found a really good company in the UK to make the products and I just want to give them a better brief and direction on the type of products that I want.
    I can’t find something similar to what I want so I will have to explain it lol

    @ Milliachemist, do you know of any product that uses Luviset One from BAS for this hair type?
