Beginning formulatorJune 10, 2024 at 7:39 am in reply to: Conditioning Shampoo Formula leaves hair tangled Please Help!Hello! Thank you for your response. I didn’t want to use silicones because of the “natural concept” but I am open to try if it’s going to improve performance significantly. I have tried Dows Microemulsions 8170 and 8177 but I wasn’t sure how much I should use. I tried 3.0%.
Which silicone would you recommend that can give me a translucent formula?

Beginning formulatorJune 10, 2024 at 7:41 am in reply to: Conditioning Shampoo Formula leaves hair tangled Please Help! Also I couldn’t adjust viscosity when I added Silicones, I tried adding NaCl or magnesium sulfate but the viscosity just wouldn’t increase.
Do you have an advice for increasing viscosity when using silicones?
