GEOGARD 221 is ECOCERT approved, it’s a mixture of dehydroacetic acid and benzyl alcohol.

could you post the formula for a helpful answer?
-
Ι think that you can contaminate your lipbalm by your saliva,so your product would be safer if you use a preservative system.
You can use propylparaben or a blend of 9:1 phenoxyethanol/ethylhexylglycerin -

versagel ME?
if you use virgin coconut oil you have to add an antioxidant but I dont know if it is mixable with the kind of versagel you use.
as @Microformulation has noticed, you do need to post the formula for further help. -
@Tal025 what do you mean by injection and cooling stage? It is a filling process issue?

@cosmic91 You can try COVAFLUID AMD, I think it gives opacity.

White is the only pigment that gives opacity, so deep color, non transparent.
Thats why the nudes have a better pay off.
You can add just a little of titanium dioxide pigment.
I have been also experimenting with Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate.
It seems to work quite well in my formula. -
I dont think it’s a mold probem. If it is mold, it can be solved with a good preservative like methyl paraben(oil soluble)
I think that it has to do with the structure oi the lipstick, and the mixture of ingredients. a chemical phenomenon called syneresis.see link above I hope it will help -

maybe you could als add polymethyl methacrylate.
it gives a soft focus effect, and luminosity. SKIN looks brighter and I think, kind of whiter.
I have been using it in a primer formula. -
@Perry @DrCatherinePratt @DrAndrewWorthen I heat it up to 80 degrees celcius. Im not sure about how to create a stronger emulsion.Do you think from the ingredients list that there is a stability problem?
An analyze of the oily phase would be a great option,to see what ingredient did not homogenized to the others.. -

I have used SENSIENT and SUN,both excellent quality, but I would like to have lower price options as well. That’s why I looked for Koel. My only concern is the matter of compliance to certifications. For example I know that sensient and sun, do meet all the criteria. And I dont know what exactly to demand on a NEW supplier of pigments. @Nancy_Colors Thank you,I really appreciate your experience

The firm I work for, is a private label cosmetic producer, located in Greece. -
check for the fragrance companies and ask for samples, but only DO use flavor for the lipstick area..
Something food grade. There are a lot of options, -
I had the same observation looking the exact same liquid lipstick. Aluminum hydroxide I think that is a part of the colorant. I have used pigments on alumina/aluminum hydroxide, coated e.g. with triethocycaprilsilane.

increase the sunflower and isododecane, and reduce the castor oil, which is quite heavy, sticky and quite glossy.you may have an emulsion problem if it looses its consistency and balls up. you have to look for an ingredient or a fixed mixture of igredients that combine your formula, and gives constistency and viscosity.
