Where did you get your Tremella powder? Thanks. So sorry for the delay, I missed this question. The tremella powder came from nootropicsdepot. They wholesale it (link at the bottom of their site) but it’s a 25kg MOQ. However their quality is second to none.
I’ve been happy with New Directions tremella though, it’s been so much easier to work with and has imparted the desired effect in my testing.

Anca_Formulator said:@Linc NatraSmoth is $408/kg for the low amount I need (at LotionCrafter) and it’s also in glycerin not Propanediol. I think Propanediol is more moisturizing than glycerin. I will definitely check out the Tremella from New Directions. Thank you!
Nice! Yeah the NatraSmooth didn’t really appeal to me for that reason as well. I will try to update this thread once I receive the ND tremella in a few weeks. I’d be interested to hear what you think of it, if you try it.

there’s also this product, which is tremella in propanediol and just $16.24 USD per pound: https://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/products/botanical-extracts/tremella-liquid-extract-100-natural-standardized.html
I don’t know what it’s like but I just ordered a sample to compare it to my own powder + propanediol mix.
Any particular reasons you don’t want to use NatraSmooth?

Sounds like they colored it, and scented it…hehehe I know of one company…that is the mode of apprendi.
Well, that’s part of my concern, it’s from Etsy. There are a few on there that are dark purple and I was curious to see what they were like. I haven’t yet found a commercial supplier with a darker BBSO than Lotioncrafter. Know of any good ones?
Pharma said:Some thoughts:- Blueberry and other seed oils are often derived by different means from the remaining pulp after juice pressing.- Oils can be obtained by pressing, solvent extraction, or CO extraction. Each extracts non-oil constituents to a different degree.- Blueberry is not equal to blueberry… The European species Vaccinium myrtillus has smaller, more colourful (blue also on the inside!), and more aromatic fruits than for example the American V. corymbosum and hybrids thereof which make up the bulk of commercial varieties.-> The blue and tasty one doesn’t need to be fake. That’s good information and reassuring, thank you. The seller actually had a youtube video linked in their description showing blueberries being harvested that were blue on the inside too. I suppose they get a lot of questions about the color.
I’m looking for something with enough aroma to impart a berry fragrance to the final cream, while avoiding added fragrance on the label.

I love tremella. I’ve found the powder extract dissolves quite well into propanediol.
