@Perry, thank you Perry!
Yes, i know that L’Oreal and La Roche Posayhas already done it, i just dont know the procedure, i mean how to incorporate it in formula, what PH should be… The 99% oils- 1% LHA is just because in oils i don’t need the PH, and oils could be easters, or mix of easter+light oils, as LHA is oil soluble … -
I cannot find the 100% info on at which phase to add proteins.
Some are saying that proteins are stable enough to go to a heated phase, moreover, they must be heated to avoid contamination of the final product.
And some are saying that proteins have to go in at the end of formulation, cold… Which one is correct?Same story about Hyaluronic acid and about D-panthenol!
Confused! Could someone clarify this? Please! -

Hi Perry
From description
“LHA has a greater affinity for the epidermis, so it works
even more gently. Lipohydroxyacid stimulates epidermal regeneration, has
antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties, which is why it is
used for the care of oily and acne skin as well as contaminated sensitive skin.
keratolytic effectiveness, tolerance and reduces the risk of irritation. With BHA, the exfoliation takes place over the entire
thickness of the stratum corneum ( stratum corneum) - lipohydroxy acid
works in a manner similar to the natural exfoliation of the epidermis. Due
to the slow, even penetration, capriole salicylic acid can be used in lower
concentrations than salicylic acid (from 0.3 to 2%).”I am looking to formulate some sort of serum for oily,
congested skin. Here is the easiest one, but I am not sure if this will be
effective as it is an oil-serum and the description saying LHA required the
correct PH which is 399% Oils
1% LHA - Lipohydroxylic

tanelise Why have you had one hand on the beaker? Are you not using the “holder/clamp” not sure what it called…

Belassi, we all use EDTa or some other chelator anyway, right?
What then will make the shampoo a “speciality chelating shampoo”, is it the amount of the chelators? -
Well, now 4 years later, do we still have only Dimethicone and Ajinomoto’s EB 21 & GP 1 for clear oil- gel?
-
Oh, i see, thank you Mark!

Isn’t green tea extract no go with ascorbic acid- i’ve read somewhere lo-o-ong time ago that green tea has metals in it and combined together will oxidise the metals in green tea, or green tea will oxidise ascorbic- one of this, sorry cannot remember which is correct.
for this same reason it’s not recommended to drink green tea with lemon.

Old thread, i know, but i have a question to MarkBroussard
MarkBroussard<formulating at pH <4.5 not only enhances your preservation efficacy, it also minimally disrupts the acid mantle barrier.>
What about MAP (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate) it’s PH supposed to be around 7, does MAP disrupts the acid mantle barrier? -
Hi Bill, could you advise which one to use, please?

Thank you Belassi

DRBOB@VERDIENT.BIZ the formula is from google patent, i haven’t even noticed the preservative, here it
is https://www.google.tl/patents/EP2217288A2?cl=enBelassi, i am actually surprised you’ve not used the inulin yet , as i thought you’ve used every possible thing in your haircare line ! i like and following your posts on f/b and here too!
Was wondering which stevia extract do you use in your shampoo(was it a shampoo) as i use green stevia- instead of sugar in my diet, and the green one is…well…green! not for blonde hair, i guess as well as your coffee shampoo, that was not meant for blondes, right? -
Oh really? How interesting! This also interesting about inulin as the claims are that inulin is good hair conditioner. So if it is anti adherence agent, how will this help in hair conditioning? Will prevent hair from sticking to each other?
-
Mark, i am interested what are the “some others” could you please let me know?
Thank you -
