    @Bill_Toge thanks.  I was debating on wether or not it was worth buying, but then I was looking at some pricey face oils and saw that the too ingredients were CCT and grapeseed oil. Don’t want to use grapeseed since it goes rancid quick.

    @tanelise
    thanks very much! I don’t have acne prone skin, would consider it normal. I will definately look into using this oil.

    @Belassi Its interesting that you note shea (i think thats what you are refering to) as being comedogenic. I have read that it is very low on the comedogenic scale and tends not to cause breakouts. I have used it on my face for a while with no negative effects.

    I didn’t know that oils couldn’t help lighten, thanks for info.

    What benefit does omega-3 do for facial skin?

    Thanks for the reply! I thought this LOI was kinda in a crazy order, but I wasn’t quite sure. I dont know how companies can get away with this for years and years. oh well I guess I will try formulating with various things to see how close I can get to the final product even without a good ingredents list

    found the ingredients here  http://www.ulta.com/diamax-treatment?productId=xlsImpprod4450423

    Alcohol Denat., Water, Niacinamide, PEG/PPG-20/23 Dimethicone, Caffeine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance, Panthenol, Triethanolamine, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Menthol, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil.

    considering that you are supposed tp shake it into the root i wonder if its just making your roots stand up more with the  Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer  so it appears fuller… my guess

    @DRBOB@VERDIENT.BIZ
    Cat guar is a good suggestion. That is something i can get a hold of. I’m kinda stuck on how to use if though to be honest. what do you have to bring the pH down to to make it usable? do I need to bring the pH down before or after the emulsion? also how much would you reccomend to start with for a rinse off conditioner, .3%?

    @Belassi
    yes i have recongized that most of it is just fluff. but many users have claimed it is very detangling. so I assumed the gum was important. I’m not stuck on that one, just a good substitute that could provide detangling.

    @DRBOB@VERDIENT.BIZ  thanks! are you saying that I should aim to take the pH down to 4 instead of 5? or should I try to keep it at like 6?

    I only have SLES so I cant make the swap to ALES

    I like silicones because they give me shine and helo with detangling. dimethicone is a good choice i agree. like amodimethicone even better.

    @chemicalmatt I’m using dimethicone 350 since thats all that I had. I think you have a good point about just using more amodimethicone. you think increasing to 2%  would be enough?

    I had a feeling to drop the cyclomethicone as well. seemed a bit unneccessary when I review the formula. good point about the CETAC. thanks!

    @Perry I saw that about CETAC. mine is at a concentration of 30% active ingredients. Does that mean I can only use .25%  of CETAC 30% active? Or does that mean I can have a total of .25% active CETAC in my leave in as a whole?

    I was also thinking I could just drop the cyclomethicone and dimethicone and keep amodimethicone at the same usage.

    Thanks! I really appreciate the feed back! I made a shampoo that was irritating my scalp a bit. but when I diluted it i didn’t have the problem. I think the concentration of cleansers was the big problem.

    I support the Lamesoft. tried it at 1% and it worked great in a shampoo for dry hair!

    ok so would SLES 10% (60% concentration) coco betaine 5% and SCI powder 5% be a good amount of surfactant for a shampoo? The rest being water, cat guar, gycol diserate and thickener.

    Is there any difference between using water solublt shea butter and peg-75 lanolin in this formula or a shampoo formula? I was thinking about getting peg 74 lanolin, but have never used it before in a forumla.

    This just looks like a basic shampoo that only uses cocoamidopropyl betain as the cleanser. a super mild and barely cleansing on at that. I would check
    the blog swiftycraftymonkey for basic shampoo formulas and just use
    cocoamidopropyl betain as the surfactant.

    @MarkBroussard
    I have been making emulsified sugar scrubs and didnt realize that you could put powdered surfactant in them. are there certain ones that are reccommended for use? I have SCI powder at home. You think that could work at 5%?
