It’s in descending order of predominance with the exception of ingredients that are in concentrations of less than 1% or are colour additives.

@ggpetrov Regarding Pentylene Glycol, it can be derived from the petroleum industry or from vegetables. The difference really lies in how your product is marketed - whether its a ‘green’ formulation for instance. The price difference is probably both due to the expense of production of a naturally sourced pentylene glycol and because it has added marketing value for some. If you don’t care about the source of this ingredient, it shouldn’t matter.

  • Larger surface area pans will be more prone to breakage during shipment or if dropped by the customer. Therefore the liquid binder to dry ingredient ratio will need to be changed as well as the pressure that each powder is pressed at in order to achieve the same / similar colour payoff.

I would think whats making it challenging to wash off is the self-emulsifying aspect of the formula no? Maybe you need to change Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate to something else? Coco glucoside won’t be 100% active material and will contain water. Maybe when its being rinsed off there is no emulsification of the added water with the oils in formula allowing for easy removal of the oils.

  • You could try looking into extracts of green tea or rosemary.
