Hello all, providing an update: I revised the formula to decrease the cetrimonium chloride from 2% to 0.8% for US compliance (.24%). Also, I adjusted my technique for stick blending the formula to decrease risk for air bubbles. It turned out really great and absolutely NO shrinkage so far like I had with the first batch. Thanks to all of you for your help with the “newbie”. I’m learning so much from this community :-)

Yes, I understand what you’re saying. I’m going to revise/remake the formula without the Cetrimonium Chloride and reduce the oil amounts to see if that helps. Will keep you all posted. Thanks so much for your help!

That makes sense ozgirl. I didn’t check the weight though but I’ll go back and check. Also, would you recommend going forward that I make more product than I need in order to account for the air/bubbles? Thanks for your help :-)

I’m a homecrafter and used natural shea butter when I first started making products but I had to use alot of fragrance to mask the natural odor but I didn’t feel that was safe so I switched to refined shea butter (deodarized and no odor), which reduced the amount of fragrance I needed and so much better.
