I recommend sodium lactate and trimethylglycine, remember that sodium lactate compromises the stability and density conferred by rheological modifiers such as carbomers.

Aristoflex AVC can be hydrated in water or dispersed in the fat phase and can be processed both cold and hot. with my home equipment I get better results when i hydrate it in the aqueous phase, preferably warm, separately from other rheological modifiers. I cannot comment on a professional use with professional equipment, so maybe this suggestion could be pointless, but If you want to disperse it in the fat phase, it may be useful to pre-disperse it in esters to avoid agglomerations (mostly if there are other powders dispersed in the fat phase).

I am quite sure that the solubility in acetic acid is lower or similar than the solubility in alcohol, so we would still have the problem of the solute / solvent ratio. moreover, I fear that once the pH is raised our solution will not remain stable but a precipitate of salts will form. nothing that cannot be attempted, however, but I do not think we are faced with a real solution. anyway, I’m very grateful that someone answered me and took the time to reply to my question, so thank you so much! I will explore the site you indicated to me. Thanks again!

However, i used it to make a Flawless foudation with Tego Care PBS 6 (4%) hydrogenated castor oil (0.5%) and Sodium Polyacrylate Starch (0.7%) and the texture was really nice, it leave a delicate glow effect that i really appreciate. I also use it with Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate or with “GC-Derm”(Glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, stearic acid, sodium lauroyl glutamate), it helps to get a matt effects and a rich and creamy texture.

Hi, my name is Giulia and i’m from Italy. First of all, i’m not a chemist, just a fan of self-produced cosmetics. Here in Italy we have a lot of different on-line market where you can buy the actives ingredients and the raw materials, but unfortunatly is very difficult to find authoritative sources on how to best use them. and so here i’am! however, I have been producing my own cosmetics for 12 years and I start to formulate it like 5-4 years ago. Now, i need to improve my knowledge with the help of industry experts to make more functional and luxury cosmetics. From my part, i hope to offer some good ideas in how to treat couperose and dry skin; in facts, relieving redness and minimizing the appearance of capillaries has always been my goals and I have found and tested on my own interesting synergies that I would like to share. I hope to be welcome even if i’m just an amateur.
Thank you for accepting my registration request, i will do my best to ask appropriate questions and contribute when i am able.Kindest regards,
Giulia.
