    Hydroxylpropyl starch phosphate can be blended into the finished conditioner to give it more thickness, although it takes 24 hours to reach its final viscosity

    If there is any Vitamin C in the botanicals, it can react over time to form a yellowish complex with the niacinamide.  AFAIK it doesn’t change the effectiveness of either ingredient, it’s just a charge-transfer coloration
