    thank you @ketchito
unfortunately, when we increase the amount of salt, the reaction reverses due to the salt curve. The viscosity of the product decreases.

I did a trial by increasing the amount of c12-13 alkyl lactat. Even after adding opacifier, the viscosity was somewhat good. However, when I added the essence, the viscosity completely broke down. however, the same essence works very easily without opacifier.

There are too many variables, but opacifier is definitely a problem.
Any suggestions for solve this problem ?

Thank you I should have been careful with the content.

There is my shower gel ingredients:

    SLES 15%
    BETAİNE 5%
    C12-13 Alkyl lactat 0,5%
    Coco Glucoside 5%

    @chemicalmatt
styrene / acrylates copolymer which I use as “opacifier” except these.

sorry @pharma  For example, when I examine the aquaxyl reaction, what can I infer about moisture?

    hi @Pharma
How can I make inferences that it will not provide effective moisture when I examine its reactions?

Do you have a source that compares aquaxyl with other moisturizers?

    Hi @Fekher
Do you have any suggestion of emülsifier suitable for cold process ?

hi @ozgirl I haven’t received an answer from my supplier yet. When I looked at the SIMULGEL INS100 report it was a serrated disk scrambler procedure.

I think the combination of Steareth-2 and Steareth-20 is suitable for cold process?

    @ngarayeva001

Thank you for your suggestion. But I think hot process is required for this emulsifier. whereas I have to work cold process.
I have seen in previous R&D reports that there are no problems when using Hydroxyethylcellulose in formulas with ACH. however, high speed mixing was used.

speed of mixing also makes me think. I have to make sure of the emulsifier before requesting a new purchase for the mixer.

@ozgirl   @mhart123 When I talked to my raw material supplier, she said that the magnetic stirrer is not sufficient for mixing.
She said different thickeners wouldn’t work either without high speed mixing.
Do you think the problem could be entirely due to this??

    Hi @ngarayeva001

This is the only deodorant active I have right now. I will actively search for a new one after finding out where the problem is caused 🙂

the point is that I dissolve the thickener in half the formula water. I’m resolving ACH with the other half. After combining the two mixes, I leave it for a long mixing process. White residues remain, which are insoluble and settle to the bottom.
my formula exists in the above case. Do you have any suggestion for this?

    Cyclopentasiloxane
    Aluminium chlorohydrate
    C12-13 Alkyl Lactat

    Hi @Belassi

I tried 2 different formulation. the 1st formulation dried the skin. ı can not understand the reason for this.

if we look at the ingredients, the moisture of the formula1 should have been higher. I come to this conclusion when I make a comparison.

    Formula 1

    C12-13 ALKYL LACTAT      %0,7
PEG 6 CAPRYLIC CAPRIC TRIGLICERID      %0,3
    POLYGUERTENIUM-7               %1

    Formula 2
    DEA       %2
    PEG-7    %2
    POLYGUERTENIUM-7   %1

Hi @Perry  I’m starting production in my own company. that’s why I review many brands. As a result of my research, I found the Ethylhexylglycerin / Phenoxyethanol mixture suitable for my own prescriptions.
I plan to take the product from the mixer boiler to the waiting boiler with a vacuum hose and send it to the filling line.

Do I need to take other precautions for products such as shower gel and liquid soap?

I don’t want to use protectors like CIT / MIT and DMDMH.
    Thank you…

    Hi @Dr_Sara
    aloe barbadensis leaf juice
    equisetum arvense extract
    salvia officinalis leaf ext
    urtica dioica ext
    camellia sinensis leaf ext
    arctium lappa root ext
    lawsonia inermis ext

    are these extracts not natural?

I don’t make a natural product when I use this formulation, but can’t I say it contains natural extracts?

I guess we can define it as containing natural extracts?

Hi @Perry there will be a formulation study involving sles in which natural extracts are the majority. similar in nature to the above formulation. it’s not a vegan product.

    @chemicalmatt thank you for explain…

    I developed the formulation further.

I added C12-13 ALKYL LACTAT instead of DEA. I fixed the foam with polyquaternium-7. I think I reduced the effect of my foam by adding 0.5 instead of removing the glycerin completely. The result is pretty good. the only problem is the pH is highly variable. I worked 4 parallel and the salt ratio I needed to add changed a little.

I increased the amount of betaine and removed AQUAXYL.

    Hi @ketchito thank you

The pH range I have determined is 5.5-6. however, after adding the salt before it reached this range, the pH = 5.4. I thought I had reached the maximum amount of salt I could add. because the sum of the DEA and salt ratio should not exceed 4%. as a result: I made the salt 1.5. but it didn’t work.

At the same time, the thickening deteriorated suddenly with the 0.5% salt I added.
My biggest problem is not getting the thickening.
