Total Level of ceteareth 40% is too high and I guess you passed the maximum level of use, your pH will be more then wanted. The most difficult thing in pomade is process not formulation.

Almost the maximum level use of TEC in many references is 5%.

Can not be used at 10% or more in dedorant and will be more efficient then 5%?

I’am not making massage cream however why massage cream use parrafin oil?

When adding dimethicone 350 to cream the viscosity decrease more. Can you guess why?

Actually I have very close formulation with preolatum instead paraffin oil and I did not face a problem actually I got with petrolatum viscous cream. About recristalisation all solids have fusion temperature far from 70 °C then it can not happen. ( today I just do same process described just increasing the speed of stiring and I got better results.)

Actually it is very expensive ingredient more then all I wrote and it it is more difficult to use in formulation then a lot of others.

For making cream the order is :

1)heating separately oil and water phase to 70°C(Except perfume and preservative)

2)take both oil and water phase far from heat source(cooling start very fast it needs near to 30 min to reach 40°C)

3)start stiring with 600 rpm speed

4) between 50° C and 40 °C emulsion became thick as usual(stiring 600 rpm) .

5)from 40° C or lower emulsion became thinner( stiring 600 rpm without adding preservative and perfume)

For conditioning hair : the chronology of viscosity is in cooling phase.

I will not use Gluconolactone (PHA) for stability reason, ph will be in the optimal range of standard cream between 4.8 and 5.3.

Even some proteins and perfumes so for emulsion it Evry ingredient can change the viscosity of your product even dramatically with very low level this is a results of my some experiences.

À lot of correction can be made, there is no need to slat, you need to neutralise your carbomer, there is no need to two thickener, a lot of surfactants wich will increase the price of your product without any intereststing gain.
