Professional Chemist / FormulatorJune 3, 2024 at 11:14 pm in reply to: What’s happen to have the orange color?<div>
</div>Actually it is full formula and it is not my formulation just i want to correct it. So by searching D-Panthenol is already not liposoluble.
To find the cause of separation I added ingredients one by one so what I found out there it seems no issue

Professional Chemist / FormulatorMay 1, 2024 at 2:34 pm in reply to: 2 in 1 shampoo formulation problemsNice answer from @Paprik then even sles is 70% the level of A.S still quite low. Then why using 2%sodium cocoyl glutamate and 1.5% decyl glucoside in no free sulfate shampoo I can’t find any benifet from that, the level of guar seems low then the level of amodimethicone seems high and almost will can stability problem.

I’am working for making balsam with<div>
<div>
Water qsp
Citric acid : to ph 4.5 or lower
Cetearyl alcohol 5%
CATC 5%
Perfume 0.3%
Preservative 0.1%
Edta: 0.1%
I see lot of formulation with lower level of Cetearyl alcohol and CATC and thicker all formulation seen without edta so my suspect that EDTA is the main reason to not get thick balsam.
So is my guess right? Then any explanation for that phenomenon?

Professional Chemist / FormulatorApril 2, 2024 at 11:27 am in reply to: Shampoo formulation & manufacturing techniques@PhilGeis for hair wax which need 80 degree C will better using parabens with Phenoxyethanol (I read that phenoxyethanol is descativated with high ethoxylated) or parabens with kathon cg (I guess kathon cg can’t added in 80 degree C)? Have you better suggestions if no one is good system of preservation for hair wax with 30% ceteareth

Professional Chemist / FormulatorJune 3, 2024 at 2:17 pm in reply to: What’s happen to have the orange color?Yes it is full formula not developed by me just I found out that Panthenol is not soluble in the product as first mistake then the orange solution has very near viscosity to Vit E.
Note : we are making formula by adding ingredients one by one to identify the cause so paraffin oil + grape seed oil +fragrance +Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate seems mixcible without any issue with parrafin oil +fragrance +grape seed oil +Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate
Note :viscosity of orange phase seems too near to Vit E

Professional Chemist / FormulatorJune 2, 2024 at 4:58 pm in reply to: What is, the best alternative for Aluminium chlorhydrate for dedorant?I see professional formulation that contains zinc pca, zinc oxide and zinc ricin oleate.
Castor oil seems for can have some effective job because zinc ricin oleate is already a drevative from him.
I’am working for cream product so solubility is not a problem. And blogger for me as professional are not a reference however I can find some professionals formulation wich contains baking soda, corn strach, titanium oxide and coconut oil
For the proverb, that’s why i’am here to hear from 10000 experts 😉

Professional Chemist / FormulatorJune 2, 2024 at 4:47 pm in reply to: What is, the best alternative for Aluminium chlorhydrate for dedorant? The definition seems more correct that antitranspirant is product wich block transpirtation from skin in practice aluminium chlorohydrate doesn’t.

Professional Chemist / FormulatorApril 9, 2024 at 6:38 am in reply to: Making free sulfate shampooThanks a lot @ketchito actually in general the used gelifiant is sodium carboxymethylcellulose not as I wrote, then I see some formulation use combination between sodium cmc and xanthan gum.
I used hpmc adding food grade of sodium bicarbonate the viscosity decrease dramatically going to water viscosity starting with higher viscosity then gel toothpaste.
So any specific carateristic of Carrageenan which make it good choice for toothpaste?

Professional Chemist / FormulatorApril 1, 2024 at 1:13 pm in reply to: 50SPF W/O Mineral Sunscreen Formula Improvement- All opinions are welcomed!I was working with your preservative untill i discovered that it is not fungicide effective, however oxide zinc in sush level will help a lot in preservation so your preservation system is not sure.
Then may just increasing the level of Peg-8-Hydrogenetad Castor Oil will do the job without any additional ingredient so may you have 3 samples or more to do.
