Those are sweeping generalizations and as far as labeling.. treading on falsehood. Labeling is stricter than ever and in the US at least, much stricter for cosmetics than for soap.

I’m very very small-fry, but believe it’s bad business practice to try to sell one’s product by fear or by attacking others’ products.

People know what they like, and if that’s the scent of Lavender, -or strawberry- they’re neither wrong nor confused. (You are correct that full, accurate labeling is key.)

Decades in business as a soapmaker have shown me that a seller can have conversations about fragrance, chemicals or ingredients as a whole, without tearing down other products or makers or trying to frighten people.

As to safety, I’ve had customers over the years who were allergic to lavender, lemon or peppermint essential oils but could use synthetically scented soap, & some who were allergic to base oils like avocado oil, almond oil or cocoa butter or natural colorants.

For some a well made syndet with synthetic or no fragrance may be the best bet.

Happily the world is big enough for both ends of the spectrum.

One investor was able to do all that damage, holding only one vote? It’s a shame the chief financial officer didn’t have any say and allowed that ruin.

<div>If you have access to high-oleic sunflower oil, using that instead of the regular type will make a huge improvement in shelf life. </div>

You’ll still want to use antioxidants etc., but the big reduction in short lived fatty acids (Linolenic, linoleic) vs oleic should easily double or treble shelf life.

Those are components found in many essential oils, as well as in many fragrance oils. They may be required to have separate listing (vs only “fragrance”) by regional regulations, due to newer allergen listing requirements.

Short answer: I’d say they’re just called out for fragrance allergen listing regulations reasons.

If you’ve got it, you could try trading BTMS25 for the -50.

Beef production is the major cause of Amazon deforestation now, not including the soybeans also grown there to feed the cattle.

Yeah, no, I’m one of those with super sensitive skin, I cut labels out of clothing, have stinging type skin.. but that’s a bad idea. Leave that to MD’s and pharmacognosists. The amount of possible drug interactions too ought to give you pause.

The brand is Full Circle Market. The detergent itself works quite well, and is unscented/no enzymes, (which make me itch), so I’m happy to use it, but do have to “peel” the pods.

<div>Have you tried weighing one and wetting it out to remove the surfs, then drying & weighing it?
    </div><div>

The PVA coating on the dishwasher detergent pods I use doesn’t dissolve fast or completely, I cut them open & dispose of it or it clogs the drain.

I’ve been wondering if that happens in people’s laundry with those strips.

<div>The wording of the 2nd option, “it actually does something”, may be offputting to general shoppers as it can sound like an attempt to malign the first option. And the carefully-curated part of option one would thus sound even better.
    </div><div>

Polling is a science all its own and with different wording you might get different answers .

Fabrics at the store will have sizing in them. PFD fabric (prepared for dyeing) will be the cleanest. Places like Dharma Trading will have blanks in various fibers.

<div>It would be handy to have the option to go to the most recent comment, especially in a multi page thread.
    </div><div>

Pagination links at the top of the page would be helpful too.

    </div><div>

And it’s a bit clunky to “log in to reply” and then have to fossick around to find the thread and place one wanted to comment.

I have used that fragrance oil and it often discolors to that sickly yellow. Weirdly, in anhydrous things, exposure to light will often (temporarily) reverse the discoloration. I’d love to know which aromachem is the culprit.

<div>It’s much harder to read. The choice of a grey % vs complete black font, plus the extra wide line spacing are fatiguing. Also the wider margins make for long skinny passages vs paragraphing as before. All hamper reading & attention.
    </div><div>

As others have noted, it’s very hard to find what one has read or not, what’s new or not.

I have read here for years to learn & understand. It used to be quick and direct, now it’s a chore.
