I am very limited knowledge about formulating. But, I like vitamin C which helps fading age spots, brightening skin and reducing wrinkles (less than retinol)

Ascorbyl Glucoside Is stable vitamin C. It is stable up to pH = 6

@Paprik, today I put 0.5% allantoin into formula with retinol. Amazing irritation from retinol is gone. Thanks again.
but, water phase has 89% and oil phase has 11%. So, I adjusted 0.5% to 0.45%.

The water phase was stirred for 2 hours in high speed of 2300 rpm. There are allantoin particles at the bottom. When I poured the water phase into oil phase, and kept the allantoin out. Is it right? Or I have to pour also the allantoin particles on the bottom?

Paprik!  I use pH meter to measure the pH of hempseed oil directly after calibrate pH meter.
Retinol is soluble in oils and it takes about 25 minutes to soluble in oils. The final pH of oil phase is 4.0. After oil & water phase are emulsified, pH of the cream is 5.0.
My question: during 25 minutes retinol is in the pH of 4.00, retinol is still good or bad ? because it is stable with pH = {4.5, 8}

How about just boil the distilled water, then cool it down to room temperature before using it in formulating

Rosehip seed oils is better choice.
Find the oil with less oleic acid and more linoleic acid. Oleic acids produce too much in oil causing a lot of problems.

Just starting to learn about mineral oils and Vaseline that are from petroleum. Some studies indicate that they are very good for skin. Their value is more than natural oils. But, there are no guidance about how to select the mineral oils.
