Hi @rewalker clay is a popular choice in the organic sector for oral care. However, I am just thinking it may turn your product poo brown. Could you wake up to that each morning. Kaolin clay can also be used. I would try it out yourself and see if it works. There are many other types of abrasives if you want to keep your toothpaste more like what we are used to. Also the clay you buy may not have the correct nano-size. I would ask about that before you buy it. I am under the impression that the size is 20uM just make sure it is around that size. Hope this helps

@Biochemist yes you would have to subscribe to Science Direct. If you get anything free on google you usually get a paper from an Indian University.

If I had the answer to that I would be sitting on a big boat on the Caribbean….

I have never made hairspray I must admit not my area but when you were talking about the smell, I remember a hairspray that smelled like Apples. So when I said the fruits are good I didn’t explain it. I thought that maybe they used some of the acetatesHere is the link:/search?q=alcohol+%2B+carboxylic+acid+picture+with+fruits&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=UXcgv8_kkO4vwM%253A%252CZ2xGUlBxa8IbjM%252C_&usg=AFrqEzdvPQz5hK5lLP2LwpD8ZopCzNs4vA&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj7-JmZ8MjcAhWBWbwKHdpkB58Q9QEwAXoECAUQBg#imgrc=UXcgv8_kkO4vwM: -

MemberJuly 18, 2018 at 8:48 am in reply to: “Natural Fragrance” As Part of the Ingredient ListNo one in the natural/organic sector wants the word fragrance on a product. I think you need to make an Essential Oil blend. Frustrating I know, it is like a virus through the going green industry to never put fragrance on your list of ingredients. People will just think that it is fake! How did that happen anyway?? I even avoided using Naticide as the INCI name is Fragrance

It is 20uM for toothpaste

In what respect do you want to use it? as a back up to your emulsification system?
