  • What are your favorite Ecocert accepted emulsifiers for face cream?

    Hi,

    I’d appreciate your opinion on best emulsifiers for face products. I’ve tried Olivem 1000 but the soaping effect is a no no for me. I’ve tried Simulgreen 18-2, but it rolls off the face after some time. My best bet for now is Montanov 68 but I wonder if you are able to suggest me something more?
    My objective is to make a very light, not sticky cream for an extremely hot climate. I was thinking of 10-12% oil phase only. Any ideas?

    @paulaa I actually do like Olivem1000 I’ve never had a problem. Maybe you could check out Montanev 82 and 202.
    Hope this helps!

    @Paulaa sorry spellcheck not working Ha! But those two should give you more of a lighter emulsion. I do think  I was using Olives when making bulky creams!

    @Paulaa:

    If you are experiencing some soaping with Olivem 1000, cut down on your oils/butters to no more than 10% total and add 2% or so Glyceryl Stearate.  That should help.

    @Dr Catherine Pratt I’m actually looking for something good for pump bottle so light emulsion will be very welcome. Thanks one more time!
