Thanks Bob, that was my hunch…my other question is: has coconut oil any triglicerides? (I do not have any hunches for this question)

Dear friends of the forum, I have a doubt about saponification. Glycerin is a side product of saponification only if triglicerides are present or it forms when I saponify lauric Acid?
-
You was right Belasi, there is a separation, I guess the oil fractions with higher molecular weight. I will Try CAPB.

Happy new year for cosmetic people! Perry, May I ask how much carbopol 2020 do you recommend as starting point?

I think that they can also help emulsion stability when there is a high electrolytic concentration.

Thanks John I appreciate your help.

Water activity is very low in solid soaps, and generally pH is high enough to eliminate almost any organism in the normal manufacturing conditions that must be pretty clean.

You have to contact your nearest microbiological analysis service supplier for that kind of information. For general guidance I recommend the following book: Cosmetic Microbiology: A practical Approach by Philip Geis

Also, Unilever style is exactly what I looking for, because the product what I’m talking about is solid soap. Sure it is not apartment size but still is greater than arthesanal size. Regards
Note: how to avoid in tank solidification is also a great subject to cover for me. I know the greater the tank the a greater the risk. -

Hi Alicut
Use of Stearic Acid without saponification or use postasium or sodium salt? thanks in advance. -
I do use excell to document formulas. Each file as an production order (expl: 203) and different modifications of the formulas as pages of excell file (example: 203A, 203B). When I have a formula that works the order number identify such definitive formula 203-2016. Each year the system is reseted. At the same time, those numbers are ink record manually on notebook; with the name of the product, and date in right pages, and observations in the left pages. Easy to manage and avoid mistakes.

Agar and Xanthan are mixed usually in the warm water as first step, dispersing and with strong stirring energy. then other ingredients are added. Please specify better what essential oil and natural oil have you listed.
