? Amazon came up with >2000 results
However if you want to measure it precisely (for QC) you need to titrate -
While brookfield is “right” choice - I wonder if anybody ever tried a cheaper one like this one? Do they work, or is it a waste of money?

ashish: how did you get peroxide formation?
I am not so worried about the powder itself - I use of course standard protection like gloves mask and safety glasses . What I am worried about is whether this mixture can ignite or explode in a simple kitchen blender like this one:

Professional Chemist / FormulatorApril 19, 2016 at 8:45 am in reply to: I cannot find a 100% honest and legitimate company to formulate and test my product idea.Totally agree with perspicacious! A “real” lab in action usually looks terrible on picture! To take one descent pic for a website you will need days of rearranging, tidying up and preparing the light situation + hire a professional photographer. Secondly - nobody “steals” pics from google - we/they purchase pics which best relate to their businesses.

I should have added I am only interested in lab-scale formulating - Do I need special equipment for that?It doesn’t seem to have any alarming hazards lab-scalehttp://www.pantherindustriesinc.com/msds/AmmoniumPersulphate.PDF
I know it is hazardous to produce and fill it. -

Professional Chemist / FormulatorMarch 30, 2016 at 4:32 pm in reply to: Do plant stem cells actually work for human skin?It still remains a bit fuzzy. What do we mean with that a cream “works”. Is it that is sells?, is it that many customers are happy? Is it that the internal personnel note a difference? Or does the active ingredient have to be “proven” in a peer reviewed paper?

True Bobzchemist but basically all marketing is about how special the formulation is. No one will ever market a product as “this is a standard formula but with great marketing so buy it”
Therefore this reasoning ends up in a loop. -
I would perform a “professional” dermatological test i.e. a patch testing. Testing on animals is not allowed.

Professional Chemist / FormulatorMarch 7, 2016 at 5:22 pm in reply to: Heating samples for stability testingI bought a second hand Binder. Works perfect, but as Bobzchemist stated you need to be a bit more precise. How large? Is it for professional use?

Professional Chemist / FormulatorFebruary 25, 2016 at 9:26 am in reply to: Safety of Talc in cosmetics. From CIR:As evidenced in this safety assessment, numerous studies
have been performed to investigate whether or not a causative relationship
exists between the cosmetic use of talc in the perineal area and ovarian
cancer. The Panel reviewed these studies thoroughly, and determined that they
do not support a causal link. The Panel stated that causation would depend on
the migration of talc from the perineum to the ovaries. There is no conclusive
explanation for the presence of talc in the ovaries reported in some studies.
However, the Panel agreed that there is no known physiological mechanism by
which talc can plausibly migrate from the perineum to the ovaries. Further, the
Panel noted that if typical perineal applications of talc increased the risk of
ovarian cancer, then it would be expected to increase the risks of uterine and,
especially, cervical cancer as well; the absence of reports of associations
between perineal talc use and either uterine or cervical cancer indicates that
perineal talc application does not cause ovarian cancer. Additional support for
this conclusion comes from, for example, studies demonstrating that the use of
talc-dusted condoms or diaphragms, which would clearly result in exposure close
to the cervical opening, was generally not associated with increased relative
risk estimates for ovarian cancer. -

I should also have mentioned that the left one was stored @ 40C for a month- the right one @RT 1 month. The bubbles were not possible to see directly after filling (or were very small) - they kind of “grew” after a while - that is why I was considering emulsion instability.
