I’m not sure if it causes hair loss per se but it’s definitely not great for hair as it dries your hair out. If used on your scalp, I can imagine that it’s dry out your roots, causing hair loss. Either way, do not use sodium ions or salt-sprays on your hair. I know it gives you that beach-hair look but in my opinion, it’s not worth it and doesn’t look good anyway!

It depends what the beauty bar soap is made of. Some contain alcohol which, as you can imagine, isn’t ideal for making scented candles. It is possible though! You should test on a small amount how well the soap reacts to heat and direct flames.
