I’d try to get a hold of some polysorbate-20, ethoxylated OHs, or some PEGs and play with those.

Pure HOH qs
SLES 25-35%
CDEA 2-4% (will add thickness)
NaCl ~2%
use DDBSA not LABSA ~1% (not really important though id get rid of it)
DMDM, PE, paraben, grapefruitseed oil (whatever preserve you want) - 0.2%clear, 3000-6000cps, pH 5-6.5-ish

So if they are making claims on the label and turns out to be false they are welcoming a lawsuit. However the additives might be under a safe harbor limit and don’t need to be included on a data sheet. Just chk out the FDAs website and they have everything you need to know. I would just worry about your own products and not witchhunt the competitors too much.

yes you can use Coco-Glucoside
its non-ionic. i like this better…..pure HOH 86.3%
sls 8%
cocamidopropyl betaine 3%
Coco-Glucoside 1%
glycerin 1%
EDTA 0.1%
fragrance 0.5%.
kathon cg 0.1%.
NaCl qs
Citric Acid qspH ~6.5
took out the coco MEA to cut heating cost. you can add it back in. due to low surfactant level you might get around 2000cps tops? but it’ll work, and this is cheap! -

ul prospector has a lot of base formulas for you to play off of. Are you a business or is this personal? I’ll tell you your EtOH need to be in the 65-75% range so make the rest of with Pure HOH and a little bit of carbomer and a pH neutralizer.

Maybe emulsify it with something? use cremophor (heating required) / poly 20? I’d keep trying

So is this SLES crystals? Just keep mixing it at a medium to high speed and recirculate (if you have that ability). take a sample about every couple hours. I would also get a retain if you have it, do a solids test (weigh out in small metal pan, put in 100C oven for an hour, then take it out and weigh the difference = solids) do the same with your current batch and see if it matchs. also compare density/pH/visc… just look at past data as well. there are a lot of things you can do to compare. but keep mixing, it’ll go in eventually.

PEG-400 (PEG-
is suitable in a cream or lotion. you can get it through acme hardesty or hallstar. its from sugar cane or coco fatty acids.

why did your company start doing this before even getting the correct equipment in! if you dont want so spend cash on an autoclave and oven and a bunch of lab supplies definitely get it contracted out.
