Dimethicone is main issue as I tried a test batch without it and things are good.

Argan oil, panthenol and essential oil are main features of the shampoo which we are going to claim, even I know these will have little effect as washed off but will add marketing value to product.

Are you referring to baked finished process or the application called Baking. Baking is when you use a powder to set your foundation before highlight/ Bronzer. Baked cosmetics were pioneered by Laura Merciar’ it is a process of hearing the finished product similar to firing clay. You have to research it.

@Petal Poppet go to bulk apothecary get optipen ND use at 1% of your total formula, instead of bentonite, use tapioca starch aka arrow root. You don’t need much. Also your zinc oxide may be decreased as not to irritate. Mix it with the arrowroot. Kaolin clay is a fine product that you can get from bulk apothecary also. I have been using them four 4 years. I have sensitive skin and cocoa butter/ Shea over coconut as coconut may irritate also. Lanolin is great for baby butts and mommy’s nipples.

Yes I’m aware that it’s soap. What Iam wondering is why do you need it in your formulae? Are you doing Hot or Cold process? You can make a bar with just oils and butters, with your lye. Herbs and extracts sound great for marketing buzz, but are debatable as to their efficacy after soponification.

@Belassi you sure you don’t use unicorn tears? I hear they preserve the best! Listen folks I use it and my vegan associates use it. I also use optiphen for possible water exposure in scrubs and salts preservatives are necessary to make safe quality products. The web is full of naysayers, if you want to formulate use criticsl thinking.

@Majman, Dear sir to formulate you need to study for years. Unless you have taken cosmetic chemistry educational classes. You need a proper scale, and at least a proper formula, face mists are mostly water based yes? YES. You must preserve and test your product to make sure it is stable. Research but stay clear of YouTube DIY advice.

@Dtdang As mentioned above, I am a Natural  formulator, However if I was truly natural I would sell mud. Water and dirt. Put it this way, If you buy into the hype about “ No chemicals in natural makeup, you may want to keep your day job. If you lay face down in poison ivy which grows “ Naturally what happens? I use the best raw ingredients to do the job but sometimes they don’t cut it! Synthetics are not bad they are necessary! Now Coconut oil unrefined is not proven to have those qualities. It has also been a slippery slope with my customers as many react to it. It is a heavy oil and must be avoided in people with systemic acne. It is however a great hair conditioning agent for once a week use.
