    The amount of Ceteareth is to help with the gelling.  The carbomer doesn’t if the deserved look.  I keep experiencing separation not sure what to do.

    its a very small percentage of the c-30. just to help out. I was thinking about removing it.  Have you experienced separation with the C-25 or C-20 on the bottom?

    I am using C-20.  I have C-30 also on hand.  How is your mixing? I keep experiencing separation? You didn’t experience the same? or should I do w/o

    I made this into a one pot formulation mixing at medium speed (80°C) . I got a thick gel on top and a sticky flowing gel on the bottom. I am using C-20. Any ideas?

    @Clark and @celine13009  how did your formulations work out?  I am working on a similar pomade/gel system.  It has been interesting.

    @MarkBroussard   &  @DRBOB@VERDIENT.BIZ
    thank you so much gentlemen… following the benchmark and I am still learning…  the benchmark didn’t have carbomer so I didn’t use it in my initial experiment.  I will be trying a carbomer experiment today.

    I made my batch and it was very “stringy”.  I reduced the pvp to 6% and it was still stringy. Could it be the sodium cocoamphoacetate?

    so in a lotion you can have just an emulsion system (emulsifiers/oil/waxes) and not a carbomer?  Perhaps just a cellulose gum?  Stability (approx. a year or 2) would not be for long without a carbomer …. correct.

    @Tom
    I was thinking how massage oil may be used in the intimate areas.  From what I have been told oils should not be put in the intimate area because of yeast infections.  I was thinking a preservative could provide some defense  with extracts and other essential oils that could cause problems.

    Seriously???  ZnO or TiO2?  What is the effectiveness of these?  Most customers want to see a serious change in about 4 weeks. Will that happy with lite browning?   I wasn’t even familiar with these 2.  Most competitor products have arbutin, bearberry extract, derivatives of Vitamin C etc.

    @Bobzchemist  Just be juvenile and homorous it will make you happy.  Believe me we are doing all ready….. :D
