Thank you for your reply. But even if it is not diluted, the solution becomes cloudy and has a foul odor after more or less 2 years.

I’m really struggling to figure out the right amounts for everything. I just went with what I found online. Got any tips on how to know if I’ve added enough?

I plan to incorporate LABSA for its effectiveness in removing grease and dirt. However, I’m concerned it might affect the stability of my formulation. Previously, I used LABSA alongside SLES and CDEA in my dishwashing liquid, but the solution separated over time. What can you suggest?

Thank you for this. I tried researching yesterday, but I couldn’t find any, hence the question here. I will try to be thorough next time.

In the philippines, back in the old age people are using guava leaves to disinfect wounds. You can also read various articles about the efficacy of guava extract in treating wounds as well as centella asiatica, and aloe vera.

Actually I am also a formulator in a pharmaceutical company and I am trying to find what amount of ascorbic acid and sodium benzoate will produce 5ppb of benzene. One of our clients express their concern about using sodium benzoate as preservative where there is a presence of ascorbic acid since the combination of the two will produce benzene which is carcinogenic.

Hmm. I guess I didn’t explain well my questions. Because the active raw material in this formulation is guava extract, centella extract and aloe vera extract. Ethanol is just a solvent. So I am also wondering if this product will be used as wound disinfectant. For a short background, this product already has formulation and I was just trying to improve its appearance however the previous formulator only had 1% ethanol and my formulation now has 5% ethanol. So I didn’t know if that was too much.
