Hello, I’ve been researching common shampoo formulating mistakes and came across this website. I am also having the same trouble with my shampoo formulation, I find that the liquids sit at the bottom of my formula and I’m not quite sure why…

This is the formula I’m using - I’m hoping someone could give me some tips or let me know where I’m going wrong ? I’m working in percentages too but I seem to never get a stable batch…

Water Phase

• Distilled Water (35.5%)
• Aloe Vera Juice (20%)
• Decyl Glucoside (20%)
• Cocamidopropyl Betaine (10%)
• Glycerine (3%)
• Guar Gum (0.5%)

Oil Phase

• Coconut Oil (4%)
• BTMS-25 (5%)
• Cetyl Alcohol (1%)

Cool Down 1

• D Panthenol (1%)
• Fragrance Oil (1%)
• Preservative (1%)
• Vitamin E Oil (1%)

Cool Down 2

• Citric Acid (a small sprinkle) to adjust Ph
