I’m sorry but your question makes no sense.

Interesting, thanks. Other than mushrooms where can I get some?

Wow. They sure have some super nice surfactants. The one I buy is 98% active content.

If you have ever seen the inside of a plastic injection moulding plant you’d have no doubt about the need to clean them!

All I can say is, that we have seen remarkable results using trisodium ascorbyl palmitate phosphate. I want to obtain more but Showa Denko don’t respond to my pricing requests. This thread just reminded me to try again.

If you change to Ultrez-20 you will see a change in the sensorials. Better check that’s acceptable first.

Interesting. Kao is one of our suppliers, I didn’t know they also made care products.

Thanks! I did consider WordPress but it is far more complicated and difficult, and there are too many bad apps because there’s no peer review process. Prestashop requires a monthly payment, I already have my own host.

Concrete5 has proved very easy to learn and has everything I need. At the moment I am stuck at critical path item “design the logo” and then we have to redo all the label designs, do the product photos, and then I will create product pages for them.
When I think of the way I used to create sites using Dreamweaver and editing CSS directly … it makes me feel ill! And those sites weren’t responsive to mobile either. My new site is, it works great on the phones.

Thanks Bob, very interesting. I like Inolex.

If it were important to maintain the skin at the same pH, then humans would suffer whenever they used cold process soap (pH = 10). In fact the acid mantle is restored quite quickly and many people report that their skin is in better condition when natural soaps are used (see the many reports on “black soap” curing skin problems)

Yes that’s a good point. Hmmm. Lavender e.o. comes from lavender plants, which are sprayed with insecticide and fungicide. I suppose if you could find organic lavender?

After checking all the ingredients for canine safety, I use our 0.2% tea tree shampoo on my two spaniels. The female used to get fungal skin problems but since we began using the TTO shampoo, she has been free of problems.

Those of you interested in seeing a startup at work might like to try my new Web site, pearandpeach.com

Please note, it is under construction, so you’ll see that some parts are incomplete and there are surplus items that I’ll remove later.
Building an effective site complete with ecommerce is child’s play using a modern content management system, compared with the bad old days of static html and Dreamweaver. I have only been working on this about ten hours or so and it works well, with correct contact info, query form, Google map, and so on. I’m using a CMS called Concrete5.

Honestly it would take me half an hour to look all those Latin names up. Just remove the ones that smell bad, is my advice.

I just realised that I am not now following the original thread. Farouk, you need to start a new thread, please.

You say that Ecosense “softens the skin” - it sounds like a refattener and I note that it is a glucoside. I hope you don’t get allergic reactions. I have posted before on this topic.

    What is Ecosense? What preservative?

  • That “emulsifier” system is really terrible, frankly. That’s the kind of thing you see in a myriad of “personal care” products on Etsy. Both borax and egg yolk (lecithin) aren’t things I want on my skin. How about THIS:

    Natural qualifications

    • Ecological and Organic cosmetics (ECOCERT) approval
    • COSMOS-standard approval
    • NPA (Natural Products Association™) certification

    Formulation guidance

    Usage level: 2-4 %
    Suitable pH level: 4-10

Yes, I do, but designing shrink is incredibly special. I have a friend in the sports drinks market who knows a guy who does it.

Shrink is wonderful if you have the design skills.

    Thanks.

We use MacTac currently which is a plastic (not polyester) material just stretchy enough for our liking. One of the future choke points I foresee is putting labels on by hand. It is time consuming. And having seen what an automatic labelling machine looks like, well, huge, complex, expensive comes to mind.

Thanks. I checked it out, it doesn’t appear that they do this kind of work. For the more upmarket labels I will have to have a two pass process; first the colour printing then the hot-foil transfer for the gold metal look.
