    Thanks @emma1985 ????
    I will try Glyceryl oleate.
I read about it and found another material, PCA Glyceryl oleate. Do you have information about this material? And which one is better for shampoo formulation PCA Glyceryl Oleate or Glyceryl Oleate?

Do you have any idea about PCA glyceryl oleate?
What percentage shall glyceryl oleate be used?

    @Raychemist
    I use
     0.1% chlorhexidine
     0.1% hexamidine
    I add them separately.
Chlorhexidine is added early to the mixture
    Hexamidine is added as lastly.

    Thanks @ketchito
I tried to remove ingredients and found that formula without hexamidine didn’t turned red.
The problem is I need to keep hexamidine since it is one of the active ingredients.
I have to find out what are the supposed reasons that could likely turn hexamidine red.

Do you have any suggestions to help?

  • I am not sure but I think it is 70:30 SLES: SLS or ALES: ALS
please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

I think you need to reduce SLS maybe it would be better if you don’t use it.
try to increase PQ7 to 0.75%

    Thank you @Perry @chemicalmatt
I omitted glycerin and salt and got an outstanding result.
regarding the concentration of CAPB, do I have to consider that it is supplied as 30%?
    I have tried this before:
    I have SLES 70%, CAPB 30%, so I used 14.3% SLES : 16.6% CAPB : 2.5% Coca DEA
The shampoo was too thin and was not clear or appeared to have precipitation.

step 1 - get rid of the glycerin

    Hi perry,
I use glycerin to dissolve PQ-10 in water more easily
do you think there is a better way to do this?
    Thank you

    Thanks Androus
In case of doing stability test in normal storage conditions, how much time do I need to consider the shampoo stable?
    Andraous said:

Viscosity of shampoo should be 4500-7000 cp. So you are on the safe margin. and this is normal some perfume increase the viscosity other decrease it. But you have to do stability test when you changing the perfume

I can’t use less frag because I want the shampoo to be well perfumed for marketing issues.
any suggestions for strengthening the perfume without increasing the % of fragrance used?

@Batoul the new fragrance had a solvent/fixative based on n-alkylphenoxy ethers, notorius for crashing viscosity in built surfactant systems. Perhaps use less?
