Thank you so much for your advice and shared your experince @Bill_Toge

I already have Teluca colour chart and it is very helpful. I mainly use guidance on Teluca color chart for my work but sometimes, when I found the color is not come out as I desired. So that I am looking for more guideline on how to adjust the tone of color ,for example for more yellow or want to adjust it to more persistent.

It is just a code used by LOreal to identify the formulation.

    Thank you so much.

F.I.L meant ” Full Ingredient Labeling ” and the code number is for internal use.

Hi professionals,  I found in many sites that hydrogen peroxide can be effective for Coronavirus with just 1 minute needed contact time.
      Have anyone idea about it?
    @Pharma @Perry @Agate @Cafe33 @ozgirl @lmosca @Gunther

Depending on concentration, even 1 second might be enough but your going to have a loooot of pain too  . H2O2 for surfaces = great, for skin not so much because it kills skin cells (nearly) as good as it kills microbes.

I can not find the data that H2O2 kill the skin cells. Can you share the scientific claim for that?

when h2o2 contact to skin , it will degrade very rapidly by enzyme catalase. The common side effect of H2O2 is skin blanching (temporaly whitening).

There was the irritation test on human data of H2O2, 10% H2O2 was not caused  dermal irritation  after application but 35 % hydrogen peroxide caused slight to moderate reversible erythema and edema in a skin.

Please see more study in the report below.

The World Health Organization recommended two alcohol-based handrub (ABHR) formulations, which are all liquid forms, not gels and need to pour on to the hand and rubbing hand. There is a study to compare the effectiveness of spray ABHR and poured ABHR( WHO Recommendation)  which shown the result that handrubbing with sprayed ABHR was non-inferior to rubbing with ABHR. This study also cited some previous studies said effective spray ABHR may be no need to hand rub but it fail to confirm to this .

Have anyone seen the shower gel with flower petals?

Like this one from china.Shower gel with rose petals, lavender ,etc.

I have seen the real one ,the flower petal is very good condition (no rotting).

I notice that the flower petal inside the shower gel does not has any color. So it is not fade and breed with the color of shower gel.

I was wondering how can we use the flower petals in shower gel.

How about pre-treatment flower petals with some solvents (ex propylene glycol) for color extraction and coat it with some polymer like chitosan or pvp.

    Anyone idea?

I think either that ammonium hydroxide in cosmetic products do not cause the headache in this case as it should be used in very low quantity. I just see the ingredient list and found it has the effect of the headache.

If user had underlying disease like migraine ,many factors can trigger it,and one possibility is about perfume in beauty products. (did not see in the ingredient)

    Hi all,

I just would like you all to know my result.
After tries the few batches, now my formula is stable ( pass 5 cycles of freeze-thraw and 45c for 3 weeks).
    This is my experimental.
Trial A : increase cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone in Part A from 3% to 5% and decrease water in Part B 2%
    Result : Separation
Trial B : eliminate peg-10 dimethicone from the formula and increase water in Part B 3%
Result : No seperation , pass stability test
Trial C : eliminate Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate from the formula and increase water in Part B 7%
Result : No seperation , pass stability test
So my hypothesis is that the ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate is incompatible with peg-10 dimethicone.

Thank you @Bill_Toge , I used the propeller mixer when add water to oil phase and homogenizer  at 1000 rpm when cooling down. When cooling down ,cream is so viscous and little bit diffcult to homogenize.

May be homogenize 1000 rpm is not enough?.
@milliachemist Yes, I used the coated pigments in this formula.
