Thank you so much for your help! I attempted this formula again but with the following changes, as per your suggestions. I’m happy to say I have a thick stable emulsion now. - reduced the sodium lactate - moved the aloe powder to the cool down - removed oliv-wax - uped the cetyl alcohol to 7%. However I kept the oils high as I have very dry hair that just seems to drink up oil lol, thanks again

It seems I was a little hasty in judging the body Cream. After using it for several weeks, it is actually quite Moisturising, it has resolved all dry skin issues. However, can anyone tell me why it has changed colour?? It has turned from a creamy colour to a light orange/pink colour?? The emulsion is unchanged in all other ways. Are there light sensitive ingredients in the formulation?  My preservative is Spectrastat
INCI: Caprylhydroxamic Acid (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Glycerin

Thank you for your suggestions Belassi. The Prodew 500 contains mostly sodium PCA, do you find sorbitol to be a better at Moisturising? I will be sure to try out the aloe too.

    Hi all,
I’ve been an avid reader of this forum for quite some time now. It’s been very useful to read all of your contributions.

I’m Ambaro, from Sydney Australia. I have no formal training in chemistry, but have over several years, learned everything I know online.

I am most interested in haircare particularly ethnic/curly hair and skin care. I would like to challenge myself in making haircare and skincare that is trailered to my needs (there is shortage here in Australia) and seeing where that leads me.

Thank you all for being so generous with your time knowledge.
