Let us help you.
What other emulsifiers and surfactants do you have?
Yes, surfactants that we use in shampoo.
-
Po65 has 34% APG surfactant
-
What is your pH and what is your target viscosity?
Poly glyceryl 4 laurate creates very low viscosity emulsions.
-
You mean those white things?
Can you explain your preparation method and pH!
Maybe you are not melting them properly before homogenization.
-
In my opinion the best option is a clarifying shampoo + a conditioner
-
And add 0.2% EDTA too
-
Sorry, my mistake. I wrote it the other way around. It is 71% water and 29% total solids. 12% glycerin, 4% emulsifier and only 0.6% benzyl alcohol was included as preservative in example formulas
-
I saw a patent and It had 12% glycerin and ~25% water in that cationic emulsion.
-
Yes
-
They have 12% glycerin.
-
pH 4.3 is better than 5.
Why are you not using some petrolatum and glycerin instead of those butters?
Make a batch with 10% petrolatum and 10% glycerin and see how it works for very dry skin.

I made two samples, one 10% STPP in hot and one in cold water. The one in hot water dissolved properly with low speed mixing but the one with cold water STPP didn’t dissolve until i heated it a bit.
These samples were made in glass pot. Surprisingly this time after adding sodium hydroxide, it didn’t precipitate.
Also, after adding 10% STPP in water, pH was around 7. Is it normal?
-
ALS, sci, scg and an amphoteric
-
No it will not and it will be difficult to thicken too.
-
To what degree c you heat them and what is the homogenization speed and batch size?

@chemicalmatt what do you think about cationic guar for this purpose?

Thanks
I after using both shampoo a few times as shampoo and as face wash, i think shampoo A is milder than B as face wash and my hair also feels better with shampoo A.
As I don’t have tools to measure the mildness so i am asking you experts, is shampoo a also milder than B or it is just my thinking?

Is it because of formalin or CMI MI in the formula?

Do you have any data for citrate too that shows how it works at different pH for different metal ions like this one is for EDTA?
