What do you think about these preservative?
Gluconolactone, sodium benzoate, calcium gluconate
It’s new to me. any feedback or reviews regarding it? Just general opinion.

My opinion is the most effective preservation systems use parabens and formaldehyde donors. The ones you listed aren’t nearly as effective. -

I’ve used 0.5% potassium sorbate at pH 5.5 in shampoo for years with no problem. Also sodium benzoate. Effective. In creams I use a combination of methyl and propyl parabens, and in gels I use Spectrastat.

Thank you. Good to know 0.5% Potassium Sorbate is not too much. I’m afraid of preservative overdose and bad products at the same time.

I’ve used Gluconolacctone (and) Sodium Benzoate on numerous occasions and have had no issues with it at 1.0% to 1.5%. A trick is that you do need to incorporate it into the water phase with no other ingredients under high shear and then heat to 70C. Otherwise, it has a tendency to partially re-crystallize if you incorporate it without heating. You can beef it up with the addition of 0.35% Potassium Sorbate. -
Hello Everybody.
Can we not put preservatives in a liquid soap since Customer Review does not reaches ? The preservatives could be a result of the problems caused to the skin of hands : dryness, irritation, itching.

Are stearer rounds effect on viscosity of hand wash liquid. How much round of stearer for hand wash liquid. I use 125 round p m. My hand wash not so thick.
