  VITAMIN C SERUM COLOR CHANGE

  Hi there, thanks for clicking this.
  A Vitamin c serum I formulate chages colour from clear to dark yellow within 2 months.

  Formula 
  Aqua 92.5%
  3% Ascorbic Acid
  1% Niacinamide
  1% Germall plus preservative 
  2% Glycerin
  0.5 xanthan gum. 

  Any help please 🙏

  Please list your pH.

  This is normal for Vitamin C products because it is being oxidized.

  Hello, try to add EDTA do formula, 0,01 to 0,1 % .

  The product is going to yellow regardless of what you add eventually. EDTA won’t offset that.

  Just use a more stable Vitamin C derivative. Cosmetic Science 101.

  Why so much preservative?  If Liquid, mfg recommendation is:

  .1 to .5%

  If powder:

  .05 to .2%

  Almost looks like you’re getting your ideas from mommy blogger sites???
