Hello! I want to formulate a sunscreen using MAP (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate). What would be a recommended concentration for MAP in the cream (the manufacturer says up to 10 %). Needless to say, the main UV protection in the cream is going to be from ZnO dispersed in CCT, so I want to use MAP as an additional ‘perk’.

    Thanks in advance!

I recommend calibrating it on a test panel. Begin perhaps at 2%

What noticeable benefit would you be trying to get by adding the MAP?

If it is an ingredient you add such that no one can tell any difference whether it’s in there or not, you will get the same effect on sales by adding a tiny amount (0.1%).
