Using Niacinamide and Vitamin C together in formulations
Hi allAs the discussion title suggests, I’m interested in finding out whether Vitamin B3 and Vitamin C are ok to use together or whether they cause flushing as some internet “blogs” suggest. I just know how “factual” some of these blogs are..You get one blog that suggests they should not be put together due to x,y,z issues. Then read another and get the opposite info.. I’m searching through some clinical studies now.I’m wondering if anyone can provide any of your own knowledge/experience and/or links to clinical studies to show results to either confirm they should/ should not be formulated together. Also, will ‘Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate’ oxidise like other forms of Vitamin C? As I’m led to believe it’s a more stable version of Vit C, but I’ve found that my formula change colour after a couple months. Any suggestions to slow the oxidisation process in water soluble formula? I’ve seen Rosamox suggested prior, I’ve contacted the manufacturer without response, so wondering if there’s any other suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help
