  Typical Glycerin Concentration

  Hello,

  What is a typical glycerin concentration for a rich facial moisturizer? I noticed most good moisturizers list glycerin as the second ingredient in their ingredient lists.

  5% seems reasonable - but it depends on what else is in the formula and product aesthetics and stuff like that.

  If you pair it with propanediol it will be less sticky.

  @mehrzadkia:

  Typically in the 5% to 10% range.  You will have to adjust for your sensorials, but routinely make 5% glycerin moisturizing creams without any signficant stickiness.
