What are the advantages and disadvantages of using titanium dioxide instead of Glycol distearate in shampoo for pearling?

How much titanium dioxide would have same pearl effect as %1 Glycol distearate?

Shampoo is 10:1 SLES: CAPB with %0.3 polyquaternium 10.

@Abdullah TiO2 will not contribute any pearlescence, it is mica treated TiO2 that pearls. Good news: you don’t need to use much - 0.20% is plenty. Bad news: you’ll need to have a suspending agent in there to keep it in place. Polyquaternium 10 may be able to contribute just enough yield vale to do the job.

@chemicalmatt do EGMS and EGGS also need suspending agent?

Do HPMC and cationic guar also work as suspending agent?
