Shampoo separation cause and solution for prevention
This shampoo test sample is from 6 months ago.a mostly clear layer has been created at the bottom and shampoo has gone to the top.
What is this type of separation called?
What can be the cause?
How can i solve it?

Amodimethicone 1% active (Amodimethicone (and) Cetrimonium Chloride (and) Trideceth-12 macro emulsion
Cationic guar 0.2%
NACL 1.5%
EDTA 0.1%

maybe too much NaCl? did you trying make high viscosity with salt?

Same formula without amodimethicone and EGDS is stable with this amount of NACL.

Might be related to the combination of anionic surfactant with cationic surfactant from the amodimethicone emulsion

Same thing has happened with dimethiconol TEA DDBSA emulsion instead of amodimethicone emulsion.

afaik, anionic combine with cationic surfactant isnt good idea!
