  Salicylic acid formulation

  Hello great chemists! 
  I am an undergraduate Biochemistry student. I want to formulate a 1% salicylic acid toner and here is my procedure. 
  1 gram salicylic acid powder
  20ml alcohol
  79ml water

  I dissolve the SA powder in alcohol and add slowly to the 79ml of water. 
  Is this a great process of formulation? And what pH would this make?
