    Hi,
For o/w emulsions  I’ve been using the Dynamic MiniPro w/ a homogenizer head and and a Mophorn Electric 0-3000 RPM/100W Overhead Stirrer 0-120 Minutes for Lab Mechanical Mixer.

I’d like to upgrade my equipment be able to make batches of 4-5 liters that are as close as possible to the ones a CM would make in larger volumes. Of course I would love the Ika Eurostar 40 Digital mixer and the Ika T25 Ultraturrex. Budget-wise I can’t get both at the same time, so I was wondering how to proceed. Are there cheaper alternatives/brands that are the same quality?

The MiniPro is great, but it can only run for 2 min at a time. I’ve never made a 4 l batch with it, and I’m not sure if 2 -4 minutes would be enough for that volume? I’ll try later today. Also, it doesn’t have a stand, so it’s harder to pour the phases into one another while homogenizing… The stirrer seems like a must for that volume, but do I need an IKA?

    Thank you.
