    dear all,

1- what would be the usage level of Kathon CG in auto-machine liquid laundry ?

2- witch kind of issue that we might face to. if we can not neutralize LABSA before adding the other ingredients?

    1. Aquacar IG50 will be more suitable for household products and generally recommended, Kathon CG is more of PC grade and much expensive comparatively.
    2. And did you try to see what will happen if you don’t neutralize LABSA before adding other ingredients, please experiment and this is how we all learn. This forum helps all and sundry but this is a not a ready reckoner. Also you have not mentioned what those other ingredients are, do you think these kind of queries will be entertained.

Hope that gives you some shine to do things in your lab, hope you have one though.

Kathon CG is not suitable for products over pH 7 -8. What is the pH of your product?

Try contacting your preservative supplier for different options.

    The ph is around 8.5.

The supplier here is use less.

I would like to know the usage level!

As ozgirl said, don’t use kathon CG above pH 8 (it’s clearly not recommended). As for Aquacar IG50 I am using it and the product has passed 4 CC test by Dow Microbials but if you want to go ahead with Koralone that is entirely upto you. But you need to see the cost implications as well if you plan to use personal care ingredient in household care items.

for the moment the only option available is kython cg…
i am wondering if the product performance will be reduced if the ph is 8 or bellow.

If you dont have any natural soap in there I am sure you can keep it below 8 but make sure it stays below 8 for Kathon CG to work.

Have you tried searching for “Kathon CG use level”? It’s very clearly stated in the product literature.
