  • Potassium Cetyl Phosphate … Are you using it?

I had a discussion with a cosmetic chemist…and we were chewing on the concept of the ideal anionic to pair with non-ionics, to co-emulsify an emulsion.

Her recommendation was Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, over the GSC and/or SSG I normally use. I suppose since sourcing small pak of Potassium Cetyl Phosphate appears to be difficult…I have overlooked it. Now I am quite intrigued. So questions….

    1) Is this widely used as a co-emulsifier…but people just don’t find it romantic enough to discuss?

    2) Anyone aware of a USA small-pak source?

If you have used it….do you have any pros or cons?

When I search this forum…I only find two passing mentions!

    Aloha.
