  • Phytic Acid as a chelate and pH…….

As is typical with pH sensitive ingredients….the vendors in their propaganda have steered well away from an ideal pH window….and use broad vaguisms for a range, like “effective over a wide pH range” which immediately alerts me to the fact….it is NOT!

ONLY Evonik dared tread where angels fear and posted this statement: “Best performance is shown at pH 6.

Well…I rarely formulate…right at 6! I have never seen such a concise pH range (a single number). So….. does anyone have any material that delineates what the reasonably acceptable range would be where it still performs some serious chelation?

I am not looking for more marketing material…looking for something more along the line of science. 🙂

    Aloha.
