    Hi

Preservatives have a ph range, I was looking to use benzyl alcohol as an anti fungal preservative, it says it has a ph of 5 -5.3 .

Do I have to check the ph of my solution is within this range before adding the preservative for it to be effective?

Ph not within this range will cause he preservative to be ineffective? And how?

    Thank you
