PEG-150 Distearate in Shampoo Formulations
So… today I’d like to know how you formulate with PEG-150 Distearate in shampoo formulations. When I use this ingredient, I tend to heat the water until it hits 75ºC, then I add the PEG-150 Distearate and mix with heating until it’s fully dissolved.
I’m just curious if there’s any different way that the chemists here formulate with this ingredient, specially those who have experience in the industrial setting. Do you guys add it in the water or with surfactants? One my colleagues told me that in the company that he works in, they heat the PEG-150 Distearate with Cocamide DEA to save on energy costs… I’ve found it pretty interesting.
I really appreciate the exchange of experience that we can have on this forum!
