  not sure how much preservative to add

  If I make a cosmetic base am I supposed to add enough preservatives into the base so it can cover any extracts, colours, and fragrances? Or am I supposed to only put enough for the base?

  You need to put enough in the formula for it to pass a preservative efficacy test.
