    I have never tried it with arginine, but I have used arginine in several other projects. For example, if you explore the spec sheets from Emulsense HC (Inolex) you will see that they use arginine to raise pH.
    Unless it was needed for a technical reason I wouldn’t get too excited. The cost as contrasted to other neutralizers is huge.

    For instance, L-Arginine appears to be a nice neutralizer for Carbopols giving the final products very pleasant sensorial feeling and additional conditioning effect especially in nail and hair formulations.

    Generic arginine is quite cheap, albeit not as cheap as Triethanolamine, you use little of it.
    My only problem is to find arginine free amino acid, and not arginine HCl.
