Neutralizing Carbopol with arginine or other amino acids?
Lubrizol datasheet says that Carbopol can be neutralized with arginine

I have never tried it with arginine, but I have used arginine in several other projects. For example, if you explore the spec sheets from Emulsense HC (Inolex) you will see that they use arginine to raise pH.Unless it was needed for a technical reason I wouldn’t get too excited. The cost as contrasted to other neutralizers is huge. -

For instance, L-Arginine appears to be a nice neutralizer for Carbopols giving the final products very pleasant sensorial feeling and additional conditioning effect especially in nail and hair formulations.

My only problem is to find arginine free amino acid, and not arginine HCl.
