  • Most effective antioxidants to prevent UV-damage in sunscreen formulations?

A lot of sunscreens use some sort of water and/or oil based antioxidant with the claim of further preventing UV-damage or in some way being “anti-aging”, typically Green Tea Extract, some form of vitamin C and E are used.

Have you seen any data on DNA or otherwise skin protecting properties of such antioxidants used topically?

If not do you know any practical ways to measure this?
